Dr. Slaughters & pumpkins

Saturday I went with Kaden, my sister & her kids to the "kids" Dr Slaughters house of terror. They didn't have the people to scare you so you basically we got to see the place.. i have to say there were some spots that I would be scared if people were chasing me. It was fun to see some of the areas Jalen would tell us about. Kaden & I are not the ones that want to be scared. It was a lot of fun.

Sunday we carved our pumpkins.. we'll not me this year... I had sinus infection. Jalen & Kaden like to tell me I just want to take pictures to blog about it. :) I think it has been a good excuse to take pictures & share it with you all. Of course we are all blessed with another Jalen picture where he does such an awesome face. I can't help but laugh at some of his pictures.

The pumpkin patch

Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch. Jalen & Kaden were not too happy at first. Maren had never been to one so I thought it would be fun. I didn't take a picture of Kadens pumpkin, it is pretty big. I am really excited for Halloween this year. Maren is sewing our costumes. Jalen is going to be a vampire. Maybe a gothic one. They dress up for halloween and then afterschool is a dance (Jalen calls this a halloween party :) ) Kaden will have his school party on Thursday. I am loving his costume. Kaden is always crazy about blue and he is going to be a hippie. He has got blue pants(really shinny)and a silver shirt. I will put many pictures up. Maren talked me into dressing up this year. I am also going to be a hippie. With PINK pants. I love the fabric we got. So, maren has been really busy sewing.

Weekend Fun

This weekend Jalen, Jayden, and Jordan went to Dr. Slaughters House of terror. It has always been fun listening to them recap on the scary parts. Afterwards we made cookies & the kids (of course including Maren) played some wii. Kaden was playing Lord of the Rings on Maren's computer. I couldn't help but making several videos of them all. Here is Kaden playing.. I think maren might put the wii video on her blog so I will hold of for now. It is always entertaining watching someone play wii with the crazy hand movements. I just love this kids eyes & his awesome smile.. I think he thought I was just taking a picture... towards the end you see his angry look. I just keep laughing each time I see this.

Kaden

Kaden has the soft spot in my heart. He is such a caring kid that will do anything to make you happy. He is always concerned that you are happy. He really loves his Jalen... He will do anything to make him happy. Jalen sometimes uses this to his advantage. Kaden really hasn't been a hugable/kissy kid.. he always makes me laugh when he rubs off where i kiss him... i tell him "go ahead, save that for later. your not rubbing it away, you are just rubbing it in, it will be there later." I truely love this kid. I remember when he was a baby, leaving him with my mom as I went to work.. I would wonder how he will ever remember me. OOOH NO, this beautiful boy would cry each time I left him. I think he was in kindergarden when he finally became the big boy. This last year, I call him my shopping buddy. He goes to the grocery store , sometimes to influence me on what we get. I really think this is why he goes. I can go up every isle and he won't complain. On of these days. . I may tell you the song I made up for him & sang him when he was little. By the way, Pocket full of sunshine is one of Kadens favorite songs. There is nothing like watching him lip sync this one.

My adorable Jalen

There is nothing more adorable than this picture. Jalen makes me laugh with all the different looks he does. This boy is almost as tall as me and his feet... well he is now wearing 8.5 So, I know I can wear a 7 in mens. Jalen is truely such awesome kid. He really cares about how other people feels... he is such a great big brother...I love him with all my heart. I looked back at some videos when I lived at an apartment across town.. He was playing with Kaden and I was recording him on video.. ( i need to figure out how to post it) So he would run up to the camera and say "do you see me smiling at you" That is the most adorable thing.. Jalen always puts a smile on my face. Now we like to ask Jalen if he sees us smiling at him.. Feel free to leave any speacial memories of him here.
